i already used FC to create 2 fonts. Not so bad i think !

Je dirais en litres de synapses et de Kawa

Voici les résultat des courses ....Le plus long a été de refaire proprement les photos jpg de chaque symbole.
Ensuite en 3 clics de souris pour remplacer les caractères type par chaque symbole et ma police a été généré en .ttf
J' ai repris cette police avec des éditeurs de texte et surtout avec mes logiciel 3D (RHINO) et cela fonctionne à merveille... pour moi qui doit gérer que du symbole, c'est un super logiciel pour 79 € de licence.
Je vais pas chercher à faire plus mais il a l'air très complet et cette version 6.5 m'a l'air assez professionnelle ...

But why make jpg's first and not directly import the vectors? Further, never ever use jpg for line-art. Always use png, gif, bmp, tif etc if you want to import a bitmap instead of a vector.

because i think not using illustrator ! but i view result and is not perfect but for the first dingbat/font is good !

As far as I know it is not obligatory to use AI to create a vector. Also, as far as I know, there are other vector formats than .ai. From long before AI. Remember .cgm?
More interesting though, where did you see the results?

for see the results i contact the person , and now i explain why is important spacing and kern at this man ( because is not in place now some problem for spacing! )

cmg, the format that Adobe used to create the .ai format. Do remember, apart from .pfd Adobe has never developed anything new themselves. Just buying and adapting. Remember where the Photoshop rendering engine comes from?
But as no-one seems to remember and as no-one is influenced by marketing techniques and thus only buys well known brands Adobe is the thing to go for ... right

One of the many French speaking regulars here will be able to explain. Problem is, most of them do not know Font Creator and thus can not explain how to use Tools > Glyph Transformer > Metrics > Bearings.
