A font inspired by Rumah Gadang.

Rumah Gadang is the traditional house of the Minangkabau people in West Sumatra, Indonesia. Its architecture, construction, interior and exterior decoration, and overall function reflect Minangkabau culture and values. Rumah Gadang serves as a residence, a family gathering space, and a place for ceremonial activities.

This house features a strikingly curved roof structure, with tiered saddle-shaped peaks pointing upward. The windows are enclosed and set into intricately carved floral-patterned walls.

The TOP part of the font is inspired by the curved, upward-facing roof of Rumah Gadang.
The MIDDLE part of some characters is influenced by the house’s rectangular windows.
The BOTTOM part of the font appears as if it has been cut by the sharp, upward curves of the Rumah Gadang roof.

This unique design captures the essence of Minangkabau architectural heritage in a typographic form.
