The 'C' is better, but the rest of the serifs are too long. Two thoughts. Perhaps the bar pic I posted is earlier, from the 1920's or earlier. OR it is a sign of worn dies or a worn bar which would result in softer letters throughout. I would be VERY happy to get an ID on the pics you posted, though.
Thanks Claude! To nit pick, because that is what we do here I'd say, Claude's pic font is slightly different. It is a little less square and has more and longer serifs. The 'C' in my 'CO.' for example, in addition to being squarer extends mostly downward whereas in Claude's it extends in both directions.
It is almost Bookman but the font is squarer and the serifs are smaller. Thanks!
You all know this but it bears repeating, comic book / manga / graphic novel lettering is often done by hand and thus unique whereas fonts repeat identically every time. That said, Komika Slick + Slim is one of the best matches for the font in question I have seen for a specific hand lettered excerpt!
Holy cr@p this is addictive....the recent question on Delta / Nationalyze
http://www.dafont.com/nationalyze.font?text=DELTA made me think of the nice Deka Battery font.
Sometimes labeled High Speed, some links lead to malware <<gasp!>>
Thanks. Oh yeah, and DAFONT AND EVERYONE ON IT ROCKS!
