Older than 2004. Very close to TRANSITIONAL 521. Posting only to see if there's another font with a similart rounded R leg.

Is this FF Beowolf Std R21 with emboss effects, or is there something else very similar, from before 2005, that matches better?

Existed before 2005. It should be a font even if the "A"s look to be different.
How large does it have to be? It's a scan from a real life object.
