Darrien used to include readme files with the fonts. I have a bunch of them, but there's no contact information or terms of use included in them.

I’ve found a free font on here that I’d like to use with an app on iPhone. When trying to the app, a message appears saying: Before you install a font, be sure you have a license to use it on another device..
I don’t know how to verify or go about getting it..
