I changed the font file to OTF rather than a TTF and that solved the problem.

When I generate my font in FontLab I notice that the shape is a tiny bit off and their are some extra nodes. Has anyone encountered this problem before and know how to fix it?

No, I would not name a font in that way. I am just curious. I already have a name for my next font anyway.

Does anyone know of any good tutorials on kerning in Fontlab? Also, my lowercase letters are the same as my uppercase letters. Is there a way that I can set the kerning the same as well so that I don't have to kern both sets of characters?

Has anyone else encountered problems when pasting between these two programs? Like paths being slightly off.

15-25 fonts sounds daunting. I think you should get multiple designers on this project. I could do a couple if you want.
