Dear all,

I use the bebas Neue for the title of my website and I have a problem with it on IE8 ( it's ok with firefox, google chrome & safari).
IE8 do not recognize the Bebas Neue and change it to Arial...
Have you already get this issue?

What are you using? CSS @fontface? JS Cufon?

Internet Explorer up to the version that is bundled with Vista (it is either IE8 or IE9) only recognizes EOT in @font-face.

If you are going to use @font-face, your web site should have a browser sniffer. If the visitor is using IE serve it with the EOT version of the webfont. If your visitor is not using IE, use WOFF.

I believe the same is also true with OTF and TTF in @font-face == IE can't handle them. I do not know about SVG.

EOT is Microsoft's invention and is proprietary and older IEs does not recognize WOFF. I just do not really know if the newest version of IE are able handle WOFF.

As for other browsers, they use WOFF unless they want to pay Microsoft.

I have a test page using WOFF and another using EOT tested by 6 persons - 2 on Macs and 4 on Windows. The result are similar across platforms using IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
