Hi,
I just downloaded the font Scorched Earth but I am having problems saving it.
When I try and save my work in Illustrator I get an error message saying

The font ScorchedEarth could not be embedded in the PDF document because of licensing restrictions. Stroked text will not be visible.

Why is this happening? Do I need permission? I thought it was free to use for personal use?
I have tried putting it into the font folder of Illustrator but it's still saying I need permission...

The author didn't allow the embedding of the font, so you won't be able to do so

It says clearly it is a demo for personal use (on your own computer) only so it is not strange that the author has set the embedding rights on Restricted License embedding. What you want to do is exactly what the author tells you not to do with his mutilated Helvetica Black.
