Hello,
i was wondering what the commercial license is of this font series is?
i have tried to contact (email) dr nimbus from omega labs but it fails to receive and gets returned to me.
i have tried all contact options but no success.
does anyone know who else i can contact?
"1.00 Copyright 1998 Studio ROP & OMEGA Labs - FREEWARE!" this is what it states on abstractfonts.com
and i have notice
www.logomaker.com use this for commercial purposes, this is were i first discovered this font, they let you design a logo for free then charge for you to keep it. (im not advertising/complaining but just pointing out an example where it is used commercially)
i want to use this font in my logo for my business.
i couldn't find a text file with this font, so pretty much in the dark about this one.
thanks in advance

Well, the license information on the
download page states that it's "Free for personal use", which means you'd have to contact the author to get a commercial license, if he offers one. But since you already tried to contact him without success (not surprising, considering the contact info looks quite old), I say you'd be better off using a similar font which is free for commercial use, or from an author that is reachable.
May I suggest, for instance
Unzialish, by Manfred Klein?
Thank you for your reply and suggestion.
i have tried the one you suggested but it not the one, i need one exactly like the omega labs version.
another query, is logomaker.com allowed to use the font commerically?
is there a database where i can find details of the owner/s? if they have copyrighted it officially, then they would have had to submit a formal application to the relevant intelectual property body. like they do for trademarks etc.
I don't know about LogoMaker, they could have obtained a license somehow or be using it without permission.
As for a database of authors, there are lots of listings available online from copyright offices around the world, but in most countries
copyright protection is automatic, and it doesn't require an official registration for it to apply.
