Is the 'A' Modified, an OT alternate or from another font do you suppose?

Yes, I do think so pilaster. Everything else matches exactly, so this got to be the font. But I can't find the A in the fonts where the upper line of the R is straight. Perhaps the A comes with another variant of Davida, or it is modified of an other font.
