What font is this

The R matches Image Club's Basilea - but they are defunct.

Now the closest family I can find is the Basilea look-alike called Alexon - however, the letters aren't quite it -- especially that R ugh.

what is Basilea?

It was a font that use to be sold by Image Club. Image Club no longer exists - and their fonts are no longer for sale.
This is what is would have looked like in Basilea - I have a feeling it was the font - and someone heavied it up - manually -- like in Photoshop - stroking it to fatten it up.

That almost looks exactly it! Why did the company go defunct?

The usual reasons, I expect. This explains a little ... well, very little, really.
