I came to that same conclusion. My first thought, while doing research, was DEALERS; was able to find that font under similar suggestions.

I kinda like this logo better than the official

The one they are using now - for all postseason logos - appears to be Febrotesk 4F (The "S" looks very similar to the logo with this font)

If you do some minor tweaking of some of the letters, this looks exactly like the current 2016 World Series font
