J'ai téléchargé FontCreator 8.0

J'ai réussi à modifier la police que je souhaitais. Mais comment installer la police pour quelle puisse être utilisable sur Word ?

It's a trial version

Since version 7 Font Creator does not work directly with font files anymore but with 'projects' which can be saved and exported (I don't know if they use exactly that word) as a ttf or otf.

So far so good. BUT

also since version 7 that export function is very limited in the trial version.

Way out

Find a trial of version 5.6 or 6. Those will work for 30 days and you can save your work as a fully functional truetype.

So uninstall version 8 and do a system restore to just before installing version 8. Then you get your full 30 days.

Ma question sera sans doute stupide mais sait-on jamais : as-tu essayé de l'installé de manière classique ?

Merci pour le lien ... Tout d'abord j'ai suivi les conseils écris plus haut ( désinstaller fontcreator 8 ... puis installer la version 5.6 ) ce que j'ai donc fait.
Mais une fois de plus impossible d'enregistrer les modifications à ma police déjà existante ... le logiciel me dit qu'il faut la version payante.

Pour être plus précis = j'ai une police déjà existante ( .ttf ) je voudrais apporter quelques modification ( surtout de hauteur de caractère ), pouvoir enregistrer ces modifications et l'utiliser sous Word.

J'ai essayé également Fontforge ... sans conviction pour moi

check sur google (ça n'a rien à voir avec les polices de caractères, c'est de l'ordre de la bonne utilisation d'un ordi)

mais sinon pourrais-je arriver à enregistrer une modification de police avec un logiciel gratuit ??

t'as 30 jours en version gratuite avec FC5.6 pour enregistrer ta modif.

Je vais être chiant ( desolé ) mais peut tu m'indiquer un lien pour avoir ce fameux FC5.6
J'ai été sur goggle pour télécharger cette fameuse version ... jusque ici tout va bien ... cela m'indique bien que c'est la version 5.6
et quand je lance Fontcreator ... je me rend compte que c'est la version 6.2

Mathieu, you need to understand something about your Windows operating system. When you install an application the date/time of installation is written in the registry. A Font Creator trial version will, at start-up, check the installation date and time as written in the registry. When you uninstall that trial version the date and time of the installation will not be removed from the registry. This is how High-Logic protects itself. So the workaround is to install the trial, use the program within 30 days and then uninstall. When uninstalled restore the system - and that includes restoring the registry - and when you install a trial again there is nothing in the registry about Font Creator and you have a new 30 days trial period.

To avoid conflicts with other new applications installation after the installation of a Font Creator trial, always do a Font Creator trial uninstall and a system restore before installing such other application or a operating system/virus scanner update.

Complicated. Indeed. But that is the price you have to pay for working with a trial version for more than 30 days - which, of course, is cheating.
