Unless anyone comes with a better idea, my guess is Engraver's Oldstyle 205 Bold, after some decent modifications, sometimes clear (e.g. the A's wing) and sometimes a bit milder, but pretty identical. I had to precisely replicate The Aviator logo in vector format and it went pretty easily with that font type as a starter.
