I found this font by chance on a site related to Pirates and the Talking Like A Pirate day. It was irresistible. The font was designed and released by Manfred Klein in 2004. Klein designed 385 fonts until his death in 2018, all of them free for all uses, although he used to ask for a donation to any charity of your choice if you made a profit.
This font, which includes its specific italic (*not* a simple oblique!), was specifically grouped together with other pirate-y font types in an informal type designer group named "Pirates and Fonts".
