16/10/2011 à 15:30  [réponse]  FONT OF ASTON MARTIN

Most of the fonts you find in logos began as a standfard font, then the designers modify details in it until they get what they want. BTW some old fonts (like this one) were actually drawn by hand years ago and even though some font makers did copy them (such as the coca-cola font or pepsi, etc). they never got them perfect.

It is wise to find the closer looking font, then convert it to curves on a vector software and then start moving nodes (quite a lot of work, but that's the only way of getting it perfect). just my 2c.

BTW, sometimes you may contact the public relations office of the company in question, they will send you a font set (if they have one) if you tel them you are going to use thir brand in a school or university project and you want to get it exactly right.

Bad news: I understand this font was drawn by handonce by someone, I did some work for one of the members and redrew it by hand on corel draw, started with arial rounded mt bold and converted into curves and started modifying it, though it is also easy to make a rounded corner rectangle of the appropite width and weld.
