Why isn't there an option to delete a comment, but only an option to edit?

You could always edit the comment and change the text to (deleted).

dafont management cares a lot about the Font Identification forum; General Discussion, not so much. No new features have been added to General Discussion in at least fifteen years. Text formatting and inserting images has to be done with manual html tags. I wouldn't expect a delete comment option anytime soon.

Doesn't really look good, does it?

If there is a delete button, the original poster might delete his message once he gets the answer to a problem or issue. That's very selfish because that message thread could help someone who is having the same problem.

BTW if you delete your message by editing out its content does not mean that what you removed is gone forever.

deleted messages aren't serving other members so I think that's the main reason you can't really delete messages.
