Hi. This is MyType.io to launch Beta service in February!
MyType is a font market platform for designers to search fonts much easier. We are utilizing artificial intelligence technology to classify fonts and provide a user experience that is easier and faster to find fonts.

Let's find out what's the problems with the font platforms.
- Font users enter multiple font sites to find their own feelings. And they look up using various font categories and knowledge, but the results with the fonts are sorted regardless of each other so that they have to gaze one by one.
- Because of poor search engines based on tags, making their fonts stand out is a big problem for font creators. This feature forces font creators to put information that is definitely not related to fonts (even Sans Serif and Serif are included together…) And receive chicken feed.

We have created a style-based search platform to solve these problems! This is a way to solve problems for both font users and font creators!

This system does not sort with the most recent fonts, the most used fonts or alphabetically, but purely the design of fonts. This system recommends exactly what the user wants, so the fonts are not buried by other fonts and are hardly not exposed! So when they uploading fonts, there is no reason to worry about strange tags or marketing strategies. Only the font design will be considered! MyType do not even get the commission as much as other font sites, so, why not choose?
Our service is in mytype.io and anyone can check it. In addition, we are currently recruiting font creators. If you submit free fonts for beta launching, the fonts are able to get exposure to search results!

These are the same fonts as Google Fonts.
But this is less convenient to use/browse.

The reason why the fonts are the same as Google Fonts is that this is a trial version of the service.
We are adding fonts with various foundries by contracts, and hope you like it.
When the beta service is launched, I'll notice you!

So, can I ask you why this is less convenient than others? If the fonts are added, can it be more convenient?

there are 5 samples of different "Aa". Next to it is written:

Why no one tries to change this inefficient font marketplace?
I guess it's supposed to work the same way as identifont.
But Identifont works pretty well.

I think you didn't try full version.
What you tried is a simple version that explain how it works!
Go to full version and try it! you can see better search engine than you tried.
It contains filters, focus, and sample text etc.

The simple version is totally unusable.
And i think the full one is still not convenient.
I think that's even less convenient than https://fonts.google.com (which is not really convenient to me)
Google have 4 different sliders (Number of styles / Thickness / Slant / Width) where there's only Slant and Weight on your website.

what is the difference with google fonts, except that there are less options for the search engine?
i really don't get it, and i don't get how it's supposed to be "so much easier" (or even just slightly better)

The difference with Google fonts is that when you click the arrow next to the font card you will see two options. Thank you very much for your continued feedback!

Maybe, but i clicked on "Focus this style".
Whatever i checked before, one would expect the program to "Focus this style".

You said tags are bad, but what you call ""AI Technology"" seems to be based on tags as well.

That's really good feedback! In fact, I intentionally used the Tag system and AI together.
If it is interfering, it may be better to use only AI.
