I already know how to install it in gimp, but how do I do this in OpenOffice.org (word for linux)
You don't install the font in a word processing app. You install it in your folder for installed fonts, and select it in the wp app.
OpenOffice.org is both a website, and a suite of open source, free alternatives to the Microsoft Office suite. It's not specific to Linux. Writer is the app similar to MS Word.
I havve open office as well and attempted to put the font in the fonts folder through c://windows//font and it won't show up. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make it appear in the font folder?
Putting it there is not the same as installing. Why do you find it so difficult to do things as they should be done.
Lesson: drive your car you like instead of how it should be done ... result ... you die.
