Is this person bonkers or what? Well, he chose a good name: Looney.
Wikipedia: "A lunatic is a commonly used term for a person who is mentally ill, dangerous, foolish, unpredictable; a condition once called lunacy".

Please, Mr looney, get off this forum. You are annoying. No one wants to create a font for free for you, so buzz off (pretty please). If you are so set on having your *&%^$ font, then GET the software, READ the books, MAKE the font YOURSELF! Is that SOOOO difficult to understand?? Personally I really, REALLY don't like Looney Tunes. They are old, they are not funny, they belong in a museum. But that is my humble opinion.

..........
do you think that's it???

I didn't include those, only the latin and mac roman ones...

I did actually think about it and tried one, but the diacritics still didn't show up in preview inside fontlab...

Mar 22, 2011 at 20:05  [reply]  Foreign glyphs not showing in wordpad

Oh.... and they don't show up in Preview panel as well (Fontlab Studio)...
It really bugs me and I don't know what causes it. I am sure I forgot something, but what??

Any help greatly appreciated!!!

Mar 22, 2011 at 15:14  [initial post]  Foreign glyphs not showing in wordpad

For some reason, my fonts don't show foreign characters in wordpad. I created all accents, but only western european ones are showing, not the Turkish or Baltic ones.
What am I doing wrong???

I am on a mac, but the problem occurs in Windows wordpad.
It happens with ALL of my fonts

Mar 03, 2011 at 10:48  [reply]  licensing restrictions.

Embedding is an issue with fonts. All the fonts on dafont.com are freely downloadable and it's up to the person downloading them to actually make a donation. I have a LOT of downloads, but not too many donations. Therefore (speaking for myself obviously) my fonts are 'closed' and I currently don't allow embedding. If people want to embed, they can contact me, make a donation, then get the embeddable font. It's a protection of sorts!
I guess a lot of creators here do the same thing.

It was removed by Deviantart after I opened a case. They apparently slapped the thief as well...

LooneyTunerIan said
Well, I was hoping someone would make/create that font for the people's needs.

I don't have any money, so I can't pay you anyways. But isn't there anyone else who can do font requests for free? Besides making pixel-related fonts, that is?

You seem to be very obsessed (maybe that's putting it too strong but you get my drift) with your Loony Tunes font. Why don't you try making one yourself? Get the software, experiment with it, make a font, stick it here and make a million bucks selling it!!!

hahaha

Feb 06, 2011 at 23:54  [reply]  Font Thieves!

...but then again: this website here http://www.downloadatoz.com has a bot, which downloads all fonts from dafont and other legit websites, then strips them off their readmes and other files and puts them up for download. When you download the font, all you get is a ttf file. No author recognition, no nothing.
You're probably used to all of this, but it amazes me (the font-newbee)...

hmm, we may have an issue here, as I get swamped with people asking me why the zip files they downloaded of my fonts are all empty. When I download the zip files, unzip them, they all have what should be there. In this case it seems to be Face Your Fears font and Nightbird font. I don't have a problem, but some people do.
Maybe it's the OS? I use a Mac.
