I want to use RoadRage.otf in photoshop but do not want the text at an angle (italicized).
Is there a function within Photoshop, or another fairly simple way of making the text look straight without having to type each letter separately and physically rotating each character?

I don't think the font exists in a non-italicized format.
(Sorry for my bad font vocabulary).

"Edit > Transform > Skew" is what you're looking for
