Saving Fonts

Jul 02, 2014 at 20:02

Okay, so I know this is a basic question, but when I hit the "Download" button for a font the file saves at the bottom of the screen and the only way I can open it is in word and it's just an encrypted code. I need some guidance on how I can save this successfully.

There is a FAQ link here on dafont. There is a Help button on your PC. Ever thought of laying your screen on the floor and then jumping with all your force and weight on either one of those?
For heaven's sake, save the world. Don't you ever drive a car.

Don't show extensions for known file types.

What you download from DaFont is a compressed archive, called a .zip file. You need to open the .zip file, extract the files inside, and install the font file(s) that are in the .zip.

Try right clicking on the .zip, select the 'Extract' option from the menu, and follow the instructions to access the files inside.

It doesn't know it is a zip. It can't see it is a zip. It doesn't know what a zip is. It never hit the FAQ button. Will it ever graduate?
