Mediaeval font with special characters

May 12, 2014 at 08:25

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask one question about fonts.
Situation: I live in Lithuania, we use some special characters. I also love gothic fonts...and could find none that has *all* the characters.
Yes, I tried search there, typing all special characters...and getting no font (out of ~300) that has them all.
Question: do you know any font, paid or free, that:
a) is close to authentic mediaeval and
b) has all Lithuanian characters, i.e. would corrently display all of them?

Yes, on the preview, not all characters are shown, but most of the fonts that can be found with the link I gave you actually have the Lithuanian characters you're looking for. You should download one and try

Lithuanian said
... a) is close to authentic mediaeval ...

What do you consider "authentic mediaeval"?

Lithuanian have a look at Gilles le Corre's 1475 Bastarde Manual: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/glc/1475-bastarde-manual/
I am not sure but I think your Lithuanian characters are there. Hope this helps a bit.
