Commercial Use of Fonts - clarification would be nice
It's not necessary to wake up a topic sleeping from 2 years...
Jayrickard, that's a little trickier. "Donationware" can either mean "It's free but I would appreciate your support", or mean "you can use this, but to use it commercially you must send me some money." Again, if you're not sure, contact the author. (And suggest that he update his readme file to be more clear.)
Donation can means that the author don't ask money for himself but ask the customer to send money to an charitable organization.
So if I downloaded a free font, may I used it for non-commercial use?
Like handbills for a school club
not sure about that
Some allow that, others don't. The best way for you to find out is to get in touch with the font author.
Send the author an email if the email address is available. Send him a PM here if the author has enabled the feature.
thanks a lot
