Looking for a font that evokes a certain feeling (60s southern France, ocean exploration)

Nov 26, 2013 at 21:08

This may be a very tricky request, as it's so subjective. But as the title states, I'm looking for a font that evokes a certain feeling/atmosphere. Something that would look right at home in 1960s southern France and would be suited for posters and pamphlets on diving watches of that era. I suppose it would have a nautical feel to it. I found myself looking at old Jacques Cousteau movies and stella artois short films but didn't get quite enough ideas.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestion! Is there anything a bit more refined and easier to read?
