The same predigital source used to make College Boy was used to make Player Condensed, also NOT THE FONT.
Player Condensed has an alternate _S_ with a horizontal center section, and an alternate _E_ with no serif on the center section. But like College Boy, it is wider than the letters.

The letters have monoline thickness, slab serifs, chamfered ouside corners and box squared counters.
A few fonts have this design, but the ones I found are wider than these letters.
For a free font in this style consider Mickey Rossi's College Boy, but note that THIS IS NOT THE FONT.
Differences include the center section of _S_, which has a slight slope instead of being horizontal; serifs on the vertex of _W_ and the center stoke of _E_.

Custom for his logo ?

No match found.

Futura Black is similar but _J_ terminal is wrong and other letters are not spot on.

Mike Lecky's "Font" sized to correspond to the magazine image and made negative.

I don't see any significant difference.

Compare to Superstar, using only the outermost contour

Main difference is the size of the gap between terminals in _C_

14/07/2017 a las 09:10  [respuesta]  Please help, what is this font?

Greeting card companies usually use private fonts to make their product distinctive.
You could use various substitutes, such as Rowboat. Note that THIS IS NOT THE FONT.

Looks like filmtype era lettering used in the 1960s.
Also used by Atlantic Records for her album Dusty in Memphis. Detail clipped from the cover:

AFAIK no digital font is an exact match.
The style is influenced by Bauhaus -- but THAT IS NOT THE FONT.

This might be from a reproduction Cold M4A1 Carbine used by movie makers etc. In which case the letters and numbers are fixed rather than sequentially stamped as in the original Carbine.

A little more research revealed that this pastice of Deco Styles was embodied in a font, Design Fineline, which has been digitized by Steve Jackaman as Xctasy Sans.

A pastiche of several Art Deco Lettering styles.
The _N_ and the _S_ resemble Elektra, designed around 1940, revived in at least two fonts: Carlos, by Jason Castle, and Casablanca, by Steve Jackaman. See the link to Casablanca Cond Light.

Just for the fun of it:
Some editing of Dimensions 200, with no change in height to width ratio or stroke weight produced this

Not a 100% match, but fairly close.

Perhaps using Dimensions 250 would be closer.

Probably custom letters for the logo.
Similar height to width ratio and stroke weight in Dimensions 200 -- but note that THIS IS NOT THE FONT.
