in the US a lot of graphic designers work for comapnies who hire them. A lot of our businesses have their own advertising staff. I don't know any self-employed Graphic Designers.

Think of it this way, Graphic Designers usually aren't self-employed. And when they're hired for a business, I'm sure their supervisors make them pay for the fonts they use.

No one tells you that you have to pay for fonts. And the time that you really do have to pay is to use them commercially, which isn't the case with all graphic design students.

Does anyone know a place/website where I can create a font for free? I want to create a font from a friend's handwriting and all the places that I've tried want me to pay to ue the font. If you know of anything, please let me know.

It is not the same picture that I had before. And I did think to myself that if multiple pictures by different people had the same look, then it might be a font. And some of the letters are quite similar. But even if Dafont had a forum before, I don't blame them for taking it down. People need to keep their opinions to themselves and only try to be helpful. No, I'm not the kind of person who says "I love everyone. No more war," because I really do hate people. But I would never have been as rude as you.

Must you be so rude? I'm not so dull that I think that everything printed is a font, so don't assume so. You're very ignorant to do so. And THIS is the reason why Dafont didn't have a forum earlier. People such as yourself have to be smart asses.
