hello, i am new to this website, and i would really like to start submitting my own fonts. Would someone be so kind to explain to me how i create them using photoshop or paint or any other software. Unless you use another sort of software, would you be able to tell me which of these they are, and the link in which i can download it from (is it free?). Then would you please tell me what else is needed to make these fonts?
Thank you.

Hi BumpaPak....
Basically, what you're asking is: how do I make a font.
Well, a couple of things:
1. it takes study, trial and error, endless deletes and numerous cups of strong coffee to learn fontography
2. your wife will rebel, she'll make your life hell for spending so much time screwing around on your computer
3. you'll need to buy the software and try
4. read up on font-making, buy books (like all of us here), get into tutorials.
I am sorry, but there is NO easy way to explain fontmaking here.
Leslie Cabarga wrote a book called 'learn Fontlab fast', which is a must have if you buy fontlab products. I suggest you read it.
The easiest way to make a font:
design an A-Z character set; scan it into your computer, use an outline-program to create, well, an outline, export it to your font-editing software, fuck around a bit with the metrics, kerning, sidebearings, height, width, etc
hit: 'export' font, that's it.
A font is not an image. It's not created with a painter. It's need to use some specific software. Look a liste here :
