Not too sure but I think Bradley Gratis is pretty close.

This is not a font. See the irregularities.

So someone retraced it in Illustrator, it'd still be based off of a font.

Based off/based on, sure. But if this is the best tracing Illustrator can do it is ready for the rubbish bin.
In defense of Illustrator, it is by far not the only program that can vectorize an image and if the original is small enough any of those will produce rubbish. And, so it seems, that is what happened here.
The question was/is Please find the font. The answer is, it ain't. No such A, no such N. But yes, a great number of fonts may have been the base. Two of those mentioned above.
