Bumping in case anyone can help :-)

20.07.2016 um 22:27  [Ausgangseintrag]  Tales from the Darkside comic title font...

Can anyone help ID the font used for the "Darkside" text in the logo for the IDW comic?

Thanks!

Trying to pin down this particular font. It looked like either a Frutiger or Univers, but none of the variants I've found so far seem to match exactly (the "R" is slightly off, and neither have an italic that quite matches). The comic is from around 1984 - and apologies for the ropey scan! - if that helps placing the typeface.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi, Don

Thanks for the tips, and sorry for the late reply. I'll have a look at the suggested fonts and see what I can come up with based on your suggestions. Many thanks! :-)

...and one more, if anyone can help. Although it's been heavily customised - the "E" has been tweaked, and the letters have obviously been tightly spaced to form a single shape etc. - this looks to have been based on a sans serif face, but I can't place it. Does anyone have any ideas what it might have been originally?

Thanks!

22.10.2015 um 12:50  [Ausgangseintrag]  "Computer"-style font used in 2000AD advert?

Can anyone identify the "computer"-style font used in the "TAKE A TIME TRIP..." section of this ad for the British comic, 2000AD? I can't quite place it, but it would have been something in use in the late '70s, and I've seen variations on it over the years (including a number of retro-themed typefaces). I don't think it would have been one created by the comic's art department, so there must be a matching commercial font out there somewhere.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Hi,

Hope someone can help me identify this interesting sans-serif used on this old D&D ad. Thanks in advance!
