Ce n'est pas une fonte. C'est un logo spécialement dessiner pour New York Times.

I think the French says that's not a font, it's a special design. HOWEVER, I have seen very good imitation fonts before. I can't remember one at the moment but if you search free font sites for "new york times" you'll probably find one.
