but its not easy to find or identify

Hi laywall. This is not a font. It was a logo. Someone a few years ago tried to make a font, but as you've seen in your search, it no longer exists -- and that's ok, because it was &*%$#%$^&*( LOL

If you are just tryin to find something that offers the same "feel" take a look at Sanvito. IT'S NOT THE FONT... but maybe for your project, an alternative.
