Cursive fonts are not displaying correctly

20.04.2015 um 17:21

I've noticed a problem over the last few weeks where my cursive fonts are not displaying correctly. The individual letters are no longer attached to one another. I just purchased Lucida Handwriting for a client's project and it is doing the same thing. I have it installed correctly, I've restarted my machine, etc., etc., to no avail. Can any one advise what causes cursive fonts that have worked fine for some time to all of the sudden start doing this? I really need to get this project done, and am at a complete loss. I've been looking online for an answer and can't find anything helpful. Thanks!

A bit more info would be helpful. What apps are you having problems with (Illustrator, Word, Inkscape?)? Is this on Mac OS (as it appears to be) or some other OS? Whatever you use, have you checked that the kerning and/or tracking haven't been set to something odd, which could cause the spacing to be off?

I actually figured it out, at least for this font. I am using a Mac OSX Version 10.9.5 and am having the problem in all applications (Photoshop, Pages, etc). While searching within the character / paragraph box (for lack of better description), I found a way to reset the font. It worked, but I had to reset it each time I used the font.

Thank you!
