Using baking soda as carpet cleaner
Adding baking soda in the vacuum bag is advised from the vacuum manufacturers for carpet cleaning. As baking soda are good for carpet cleaning and removing spot and stains in your carpet. As for the wet stain removal, mix the baking soda and water and then spray on to the stain and be careful of the blot dry. For greasy stains, you can cover the whole stain with baking soda and leave it the whole day or night as it absorbs the fluids and vacuum it the next day. Adding lavender, basil, eucalyptus oils to your baking soda can give deodorizing effect as well.
