I suspect that it has been salvaged from this frame clipart

(I'm guessing frame clipart, because I've found at least 3 examples of it in use on 2 continents.

(although, it is possible that the 3 examples of frames were made with font glyphs)

Where did you get the sample(s)?

To pilaster - Great find! Do you know where I can find a high res version of that frame clipart? Or do you know which font may have been used for those glyphs? Semples here: http://art-deco-weddings.com/789/art-nouveau-wedding-invitations/

I'm afraid that I do not, but you may yet get lucky with someone else recognising, either the source of the frame (or glyphs from which it's made, if that's the case). I note though that in the top sample of the link to source you give, the exact same frame as the three samples above is in use, so I'd say it's probably a frame and you should search for that.
