Save the font files from dafont.com and open the zip or rar files. Remember the directory where you exported them to, I recommend somewhere close to your main drive (ie C:/downloadfonts)
Now open the explorer window to go to the default fonts window located at C:/Windows/Fonts
and click file on the toolbar
click install new fonts...
and then locate the drive where you exported your fonts downloaded from dafont.com
Easy so far

If it isnt then try again slower and reading my post carefully.
Last step is to highlight the fonts you wish to install from the windows prompt that has just appeared after clicking "install new fonts..."
The fonts will now install and Photoshop will automatically recognise them and so should gimp and paint.net etc etc etc etc

I am a graphic designer, although an amateur, and use a lot of fonts for my designs but I will be offline from the 28th April onwards for perhaps even a whole month :P But I am looking to see if there are specifically packs of fonts that I can download from dafont.com or a collection on the internet of font artists who have featured on dafont.com
I humbly respect the work of the submissions on da font, these fonts are great ! But I am afraid that without internet access I will not be able to download fonts when I like, and would like a little database of fonts to get me ready for life without internet. Doesn't have to be a huge collection, perhaps 25-50 max. Anymore and it gets confusing!
Help much appreciated. Thanks !
Have a great day!
I am in favour of following copyright procedures. But on topic of dafont.com if the fonts are free download is the copyright still there to stop re-production of the font on commercial products (like tshirts)
Also do you consider signatures for forums to be under the terms of fair use or should I get font creators permission to use the fonts ?
