16/06/2010 à 00:21  [réponse]  New to Dafont

Vinz, Tophy, I can't (here) but over there I would delete a post like johndouglas's one right away, warn, and one more, ban. May I suggest ...

Like this?

15/06/2010 à 00:54  [réponse]  Brand new rip-off on Dafont

OK Rodolphe, neither can I or most of all. Yet, with a name like this one, one would wonder - wouldn't one?
Whatever, it is a shameless rip-off and - imho - should not be on Dafont. By all means not on Dafont.

It is up to you.

Remember the level of audience in the past? Amazing ... it is still there.

On the edge of getting another vinz reprimande ...

Shouldn't this be prohibited?

If preview and print embedding is allowed there should be no legal problem because that is exactly the type of embedding you will be using.

The font can only be 'seen' when it is installed on the computer. If not it will be replaced by the browser default font. To achieve what you have in mind you must embed the font in your pages. Used to be a nightmare, but with @font-face it has become much easier. Realize that only fonts with embedding rights can be embedded.
How to? Have a look at fontsquirrel. Good luck with your experiment.

Similar? You mean a basic B with some ornaments? Have a look at these: Spring/Aesthetic, Ibsen, Incunitials/Lime Glory Caps, Kingdom Come, the letter M of Ornamental Initials B.
But maybe one like the Burgoyne Initials would suit the Adornment better?

10/06/2010 à 16:11  [réponse]  Name this font

Alas, no. Probably home-made with the help of - probably, most probably - the B of the University-Roman-Normal. That 'famous' MIKE version is the one that does the trick. Throw in some ornament, scribble some lines and done. But why would you want a thingie like that when there are so many beautifully made initials available?
