From wikipedia: The standard font for a screenplay is 12 point, 10 pitch Courier Typeface...
Police identifiée : Courier 10 Pitch

Hi... Thanks for the reply. Correct, that's the standard...but this one being used, is not Courier. It's something different.
Can you tell from the screenshot, what it is?

Still looks like Courier 10 Pitch to me... (not Courier New or whatever version comes with OS X).

I agree it could be another version of Courier (there are many different versions) but in my opinion, it's definitely a Courier.

I've added the link and changed te image.

Interesting, first page is normal text (selectable), all other pages are rendered I've zoomed that first page and... that font is slightly different from Courier. They're actually shown as "ff1" font for title (bold) and "ff0" font for regular text.

Thank you!

How do I download these fonts to use on Final Draft?

Or, just simply download them?

10/08/2013 à 17:18

Sashi X...are you there?

I'm not sure how to find/upload "ff1" and "ff0?"

11/08/2013 à 01:45

Sorry, can't help you this time.
On the other hand, "ff0" could be not the real name of that font. Some web site do that (change font names), don't ask me why

OP's sample is not the same as the first page. If he wanted the font one the first page he should have posted a screenshot of the first page. Either way, it still is Courier (the regular is identical to Courier New and the bold looks damn close to 10 Pitch.)

11/08/2013 à 07:34

When you say, "10 Pitch," ...do you mean the size? Or is that something different?

11/08/2013 à 08:37

No. It's the name of the font. Of course, like most version of Courier, it also happens to have a pitch of 10 when used at 12 pt.

Like I said before, there are a lot of different versions. The Wikipedia article lists many of them with their difference.

Thank you.... Do you happen to know where/how I can download "10 Pitch" font?

11/08/2013 à 18:31

Yes. Just a few messages up I posted a link. On my first answer : http://www.dafont.com/forum/read/121807/there-will-be-blood-font?highlight=293245#293245

Thought it was actually the same font, but rendered. But looks like that sample is a normal scan
Can't tell you if different fonts were used, but definitely Courier family IMO.
