can i use my font online?

hi,

i'm building a web application for a customer. He's given me his corporate font (DIN regular). Now i would like to incorporate that font using the @font-face attribute in my css but font-squirrel won't generate it: i get an error message saying Font Shop (owner of the font) requests it being blacklisted by the Generator. How can i be sure to use it so typography will be shown correctly across browsers?

Furthermore, my customer already has a website displaying that font, but all i can find in the css is a regular font-family property. There doesn't seem to be any @font-face. This would mean any user's browser would display a different font when the one intended isn't installed in his font library. Yet it does display the right font on a computer where the font is not installed. I don't know why this is or maybe i'm just missing something.

If my customer has rightfully bought that font and used it online already, i'd assume i'd be free to generate it into a font-facegroup?

Thx
B
