Why MF fonts should be more "original" than freebies for those that are revivals from old typefaces?
It usually happens when there are too many points in a glyph, which makes the Windows font viewer become mad when ClearType is enabled (= under Windows Vista / Seven for sure, I don't know yet for Windows 8 - but no problem for the old XP that doesn't use ClearType by default)
Press the Alt key, hold it down while you type 0096, then release it.
Not at all, I'm not even sure that my mouth could be large enough to eat that
It's just that I don't like tomatoes, and there are too many tomatoes in this one!
