Gaga - iTunes font

Apr 13, 2011 at 00:14

I saw this font on the "Born This Way" single page on iTunes UK.

Was just wondering if anyone knows the official font? or if there's a free font which looks similar to this.

It's not a brilliant picture but you can see theres lines down every single letter.

Thanks in advance :-)

Very simple
1. Create a new pattern 1x2 pixels (height-width): 1 pixel white, the other one in black (then choose Edit > Define Pattern, enter a name for the pattern in the Pattern Name dialog box)
2. File > New (to create your new project)
3. Write your text in Impact (color: red 100%)
4. Double click on your new text layer (to open effects menu)
5. Pattern overlay: Blend mode - multiply; opacity: 100%; pattern: select your new pattern
6. (extra) Gradient overlay: Blend mode - multiply; opacity: 100%; Color: two color gradient (from grey to white); Angle: 0º
Done

i still can't get the effect? :-( i'm sorry you have been so helpful but can you give me some more advanced instructions?

from following your instructions.. this is what i did and you can tell me where i'm going wrong.

1. Created a new document 1 x 2 pixels (the top white, bottom black) .. then i did edit > define pattern

..and then i did the EXACT same instructions like you said after that ..

Please help me! :-)
Thanks

Better if you wait for Sashix's here again, but yesterday I followed the instructions of him and I got the picture almost exact...

Just one thing: better create a new document 2 x 1, etc for the rest...

Sorry, my fault I meant 1 pix height and 2 pix width, not the other way

What if I want the black stripes to be transparent?

Different story and depends on final result. Your pattern should have 1 color pixel (should be color you want for you letters, i.e. red, blue, green, etc) and the other transparent (when you create new document, select "transparent background"). Then, in "Pattern overlay", select: Blend mode - normal, and in "Blending options", select 0% in "Fill opacity".
