I've downloaded a few fonts and when I go to extract them, it says the compressed zip file is empty. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using dial-up. What does that have to do with it though?
Damaged zips (downloaded from dafont
) are always caused by connection interruptions somewhere between the dafont server and your PC. The larger the file the higher the chance, specially on notorious unstable connections like WiFi and/or dial-up. Best advice I can give you is to download from a DSL connection. Someone near you may have one?

Well that's messed up. But thanks for the help. Unfortunately I don't know anyone with DSL, I only have access to dial-up and WiFi.
Then connect your PC directly to the router, cable connection, to eliminate the WiFi. First try a font with a small file size and see what happens.
I should have specified the only way I use WiFi is via Burger King, McDonald's etc.. I don't think they'd allow me to do that.
@Rodolphe,
@phiphtyphour, the one at Monterrey Court or the one at Denizen Plaza?
I've never even heard of those places before.
