Hi everyone,
I found the font called Black Rose and I like very much the lower case set.
Do you have any suggestion for a similar character set?

Thank you very much to all!

Why did you want a similar other ? Why can't you use this font ?

Because it's very common and I need something more original.
There is a lot of site and ads that use this font, first of all vimeo.
Also I cant find any information about the copyright of the font and his author,
so I dont know the rule for the commercial use of the font ( I need to do a billboard).
Do you know what can I do? Or do you have any alternative proposal?

For one, it is not very common. In fact there is nothing that comes even close to it.
For two, for ads this absolutely not true. There may be some sites that use this font but the number of sited that use Helvetica, Futura, Univers, Avant Garde and so on is hundreds if not thousands of times more.
For three, the name of the copyright holder can be found in the font properties. Moreover, it is shown on the download page. Try to learn to read.
For four, a simple Google search on the foundry's name would have informed you that that foundry is extinct.
For five, figure it out yourself.
For six, no. And also, there is no need.

Amen.

I mean is very common in my trade area, of course not compared to the all web! I'm searching, infact, for something with this type of outline.

Really? Thank you..so if is so easy could you be so kind and explain me what can I do for use it? Can I use it for free or not? What are the copyright rules for something who is possessed by omeone that no longer exist?
I've searched on google and I didn't find any official source but only user comment, and nothing referred to the previous term of service!

For five, figure it out yourself.
For six, no. And also, there is no need.

Amen

The font Black Rose is pretty popular - as you said. I've seen it used in logos, merchandise and plenty of internet graphics to agree with you. Though it's not abused nearly as much as Comic Sans or Papyrus it very well may be in the future as far as we know. There aren't that many identical fonts to choose from but doing a quick search, I tried to find some soft/fat/cursive with sort of the thorny bits that resembles Black Rose.. wasn't too successful regarding thorny bits but I thought someone should at least try to help you. You say you are a man of a trade so I hope you are able to get money out of pocket and I assume since you already posted on Dafont that you've searched for what you could here.

Sudtipos on MyFonts has a lot of interesting fonts that could help, most ranging $40-70. Black Rose (lowercase) seems to remind me of the slick and thick 50's advertising fonts that I love - I may just bookmark this thread for the future for myself ;D

The OP mentioned vimeo(dot com) earlier. Thus it is the Black Rose as here on Dafont.

Why would you want useless pictures of a font being used?... >:| Font fetish? What is happening here? Do something that wastes hours of your time for me first and I will negotiate with you after.
