Can I use a Font?

May 21, 2012 at 16:48

I would like to use a Font named Desigers in a commercial project.

I have downloaded the file from this site hoping that I would be able to see something about copyright or authorship.
The only information (apart from the name of the font and size of the file) I see is as follows:

Version: Macromedia Fontographer 4.1.3 09/20/06
Generated by Fontographer 4.1.3

It seems that Macromedia is a piece of software (free?)

Any help how can I make sure that I can safely use the font for free for commercial purposes, or whom can I contact to sort it out.
Many thanks in advance to whoever will help me.

Macromedia is only the name of the software (not free) that generate the font (like Word generate a text). No link between this soft and the copyright of the font.

Without a contact with the author, you can't be sure.

Thanks.Any clue on I can find out the author?
Thanks in advance.

Author unknown. Therefore no-one or anyone can claim the font but at the same time will find it difficult to prove he/she is the author.

Thanks so much.
I have also made some searches and believe the font is of public domain (always, "unknown author, as you said).
Regards.
