License type - Bodoni font?

Mar 07, 2021 at 03:08

Dear Sirs,

I would like to use some fonts from the BODONI family (see below) but can't get my head around the licensing requirements.
We wish to use these fonts on (1) our website and (2) printed marketing collaterals. Not on goods.

1) Bodoni Std Book

2) Bodoni Std Bold Condensed

3) Bodoni Seventytwo ITC Book

At the same time I see there are many websites which sell these fonts, but I am not sure they can be trusted. If I need to buy a license, which website would you recommend to buy it from and which license shall I get for the stated purpose - web or desktop?

Your guidance will be very much appreciated. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

Kind regards
Lucy

Thank you Claude, may I ask what is the difference between a web font and a desktop font? And how is it possible that the same font is sold by different providers?

Formats: TTF, OTF, WOFF, EOT & SVG

Monotype is the biggest type firm in the world. They own some of the largest distribution platforms (MyFonts, Linotype, FontShop, FontFont) as well as having absorbed many foundries.
