Font Password

Mar 25, 2010 at 01:04

When I'm trying to unzip free downloaded fonts it askes me for a password. If the font is free why do I need a password and where can I get it?

Perhaps you use a trial version of Winzip or something that has expirated... try to open them with the default unzip tool.

Under Windows:
Right-click on a zip > Open with... > Compressed folders,
and don't forget to check the box at the bottom that says something like "always open this type of file with this program", so that next time you double click on a zip, it will automatically open it with Windows.

Tried using the default unzip tool. It's still not working. On windows in the extract wizard , after you enter the destination of where you'd like to extract the files, it asks you for a password. There are several "free" fonts I've tried to download that ask for a password. Where can I find this information or is there a way to bypass it?

sounds like whatever unzip program you're using is requiring a password.
