I download fonts as I make teaching resources on word and powerpoint and share the documents on a facebook group. Does that mean I can only download fonts that are: Public domain / GPL / OFL

Public Domain is not the only possibility.

You can use the fonts 100% free too.

Or you can use commercial/donationware fonts too, if you pay the price of course.
