I've downloaded quite a few fonts from dafont and have never had this issue. The one I downloaded today shows up in Illustrator as well as in my print preview but then doesn't print out on the page...please advise if you know of a solution!!!

Then say that in the first place and don't mumble along about 'the one'. Why do you folks are incapable of understanding that if you need help you need to be specific?

Try to convert it to curves.

Select the type object.
Choose Type > Create Outlines.
