Question About Commercial Use Of Font "Budmo Jiggler + Jigglish"

May 16, 2011 at 20:16

hi,

i want to use this font for a band logo which will also be printed on t-shirts. therefore i want to modify the font in gimp. the download contains a "license pdf" and an "info html". in addition, there is a newer version of the license on the creators homepage:
http://typodermicfonts.com/pages/license

my problem:
the license says "You may import characters from the licensed font as graphical objects into a drawing program and modify such graphical objects" but says also "You may not modify the licensed font in order to create derivative fonts."

does this mean it is allowed to modify the font in gimp to create a logo and print this logo on shirts and sell these? is it just forbidden to modify the font in order to create a new .ttf file?

sorry for the stupid question (having a little bit trouble with this english license as i'm from germany)

thanks in advance!!!

this means you can't make a new font from this one. You can of course create artwork using this font.
