Anyway, I think Engravers, Sweet Gothic, Blair, Sackers... actually fits better but... they don't have serifs (update on-the-fly - there is a serif version of Sweet Gothic)

Yeah, looks like a Helvetica's "S", with some modifications of course, can do the trick (but still, I'm not 100% sure at that size)

Eurostile will look great too, and both stroked will look nicely, but without overlaying them over the original is difficult to say which one is it.

Try Square 721 or Eurostile. Quite sure stroke was applied

because you uploaded a badly vectorized scan/image (don't know if you did it, or it was an automatic stuff). Just scan it in gray-scale.
